Taba,
an Egyptian city near the border to Israel
and right at the northern end of the Gulf of Aqaba,
was the last piece that was given back from Israel to Egypt
in 1989.
Some centuries ago, Taba was an important spot for caravans,
that stopped by on their way along the Gulf of Aqaba
in order to get some fresh water. |

Nowadays,
Taba is a modern town that shows up with facilities especially
for tourism. There are especially higher call
hotels of 4 and 5 stars that form the city's appearance. Also,
Taba seems a fantastic place for excursions and trips, especially
if interested in visiting more than only Sinai. Israel is
only a hundred meters away. |
