The Sheraton Sharm Hotel, Resort and Villas

 

General The Sharaton Sharm is a relatively new 5-star hotel, situated only a few km from Sharm El Sheikh, right at Naama Bay. It is devided in two sections, one 4+ star resort and the regular 5 star hotel complex. We stayed at the 5 star hotel and enjoyed a very pleasant stay. Most information given below treats of the 5-star hotel complex itself. The service is as expected for a 5 star hotel, friendly and good. Waiters are constantly watching out for serving food, in the hotel as well as on the beach. A remarkable number of restaurants is waiting to serve the guest throughout the whole day. At night, the Beduin place shows up with snacks and the famous shisha (arab. water pipe). In the main restaurants food comes as buffet and the food is diverse and good.     Rooms   Rooms are very clean, available as smoking or non-smoking. In the main hotel, all rooms have a balcony and an extraordinary nice sea view, where the raising sun shines right in. TV with plenty of international channels, a mini bar, adapters for power supply are not necessary, telephone and a/c all in good condition. A save is unfortunately not available in the room, but valuables can and are recommended to be given to the front desk. The rooms are quiet, neighbours caan not be heard. Only in the late afternoon there is some beach activity with music for about 1 hour. bathrooms are well equipped and big enough; hair dryer, soap, gel, shower cap and other supply is available. Shoe polish and sewing kit is not available. Room service is good, but might sometimes be a bit slow in understanding (night shift). However, once they understand, they are fast and excellent in service. The balcony has sufficient place for 2 people and gets sun amost all day. Neighbours cannot see in, so privacy is secured. Stile: The rooms are furnished and coloured in a very tasteful manner. All furniture fit by taste and make the visitor feel comfortable.         Facilities The fitness area is very well equipped with running machines, light streching and budy shaping facilities as well as more heavy machines for body building. Towels are provided. The room is clean and visitors have a nice view out in the garden. An instructor is always around and available if needed. Showers are clean and it is possible to use the sauna (attached to the showers) for free. Lockers are available, too. Conference rooms have all necessary electronical equippment installed for small and bigger events. Service can be booked for the whole day.   The Spa: One of the extraordinary facilities is the newly opened 1600 square meter Thalassotherapy Spa in the main hotel. There is steam bath, mud bath, traditional Turkish bath (Hammam), and sauna available. All kind of massages and special marine treatments are able to satisfy all distinct needs. White columns are nicely guarding the whirl pool. The whole areal is very comfortably a and tastefully made up.     Between the resort and the main Hotel there is a fancy garden for any kind of special festival. It can be booked at the hotel, and it covers more than a few hundred people. Many pools, water falls, bars, fancy stairways, caves, a main open air dance floor and a direct open beach access make this areal a fantastic place for a party. This is a place for very special events.   Beach & Pool Pool: The Sharaton has various pools in the resort (each resort has an own pool) plus a main pool at the main hotel complex. The dark blue of the pool seems to refresh the body more than just water. Palm trees and bars are around the pool, which makes it very pleasant to stay right outside when getting hungry. Beach: The only people at the beach are people from the Sharaton, since there is no hotel next to it that directly accesses. This makes staying here quite comfortable. Nevertheless, the broad beach seems always to be quite full. Waiters are constantly walking around to serve with drinks and food.   Sports   Tennis: Two tennis courts are avlailable in the Sharaton resort, probably 3 minutes walk from the main hotel complex. Guests play on sand and flood light enables even playing until late night. Windsurfing: boards are not available in the resort itself. However, a bus will transport interested guests to the main beach in Naama Bay, where surf boards are rented. The material is sufficient, boards and sails are suitable for good windsurfing. Parasailing: we did not see this sport to be done right in front of the hotel. However, just like windsurfing, a shuttle bus will bring guests to the main beach of Naama Bay, where such sports are available. Waterski: waterski is available, but not always. As with parasailing and windsurfing, guests are invited in Naama Bay. Sometimes however, a boat is right in fron of the Sharaton hotel, mostly in high season times. Diving: a diving center is directly attached to the Sharaton. They offer daily tours for advanced as well as classes for beginners.
